Had to make Birthday Cards for 13 year old twin girls today…..so am using the sketch challenge from SC and came up with the above cards using Stampin Up “Definitely Decorative Bold Butterfly” set of stamps.  The brads gave these cards a younger look.  I actually used the chalk pastels to colour the butterflies. This gave them a soft bleneded effect. I then used the matching dye pads to the card stock to stamp up the inserts and the front of card flowers.  I used my Stampin Up tool kit to punch the holes for the brads. Hope you like them.

I needed to make a 21st card for my nephew who is a young man working with tools in his trade,hence the “Power Up” stamp set. I was lost for ideas so the Stampin Up Catalogue helped me along with the 21 card and then I decided to look elsewhere and found 2 cards that I loved (from Splitcoasters) so with a little change to them, and much appreciation I made 2 more masculine cards.

My friend is turning 50…she’s a bit older than me..lol.. anyway I had to make a special card so thought I’d give this type of card a go….used Petal Prints stamps and the Floral Background stamps with Regal Rose, Old Olive and So Saffron colour stamp pads. I’m going to punch out the BIG numbers 50 in Regal rose card stock and put onto the left side of the opening….just to rub it in…anyway the verse is typically her as she always has the kettle on when I call to visit….any time of day…..now I just have to find a suitable present to go with the card.

Today I went to Link n Learn. That is a craft group that we have in Port Lincoln each Wednesday morning and we get together in small groups and all do different crafts. I am in the stamping group for this 5 week block and we did the above 3 cards using Stampin Up stamps, papers and inks. We used a white crayon for the resist. 

1. We stamped image in black onto gloss card.

2. We coloured small lines with white crayon.

3. We sponged different coloured inks to colour in the images

Voila…..what a great look….I enjoyed doing these. Why don’t you try it…..the secret is the card must be gloss.

Made this card for my friends birthday….below the Tags had her name on them and then I stamped little messages on the back of the tags as above. Used scrapping paper, tags and stickers for this card. It was fun to make…the card suited my friend very much and I was pleased with it.

Made this card to use in a workshop, it was fun and very successful. I call this my “Plonk” stamping and it is my favourite technique. Just plonk and sponge the edges ……voila…..

Used French Script background stamp and Petal Prints stamps and the leaf from the Art of Life set.

Used Mellow Moss, pale plum , plum, and more mustard stamp pads colours.
